STICKY PASSWORD UPDATE CORRUPTED WINDOWS 10

I have seen some unexplained anomalies with KeePassXC where my latest session changes are not saved, the file size decreases, or I have an occasional Windows 10 system freeze or crash, so I am cautious to keep backups. My cloud storage keeps all old revisions unless I manually delete them. My files are not large so I do not mind keeping the old revisions, but I delete local old revisions periodically during a housekeeping session. I keep a master change log history in the root folder. This prevents overwriting by changing the filename. I increment the filename and use Save As whenever I add a new password, note, or group. It only takes a few more seconds but provides peace of mind with redundancy. To avoid a single point of failure, I have developed a habit of entering passwords and note changes first in Bitwarden, then in KeePassXC. It is rare that my file size decreases since I do not normally delete entries, I just move them to an Inactive or Closed Account folder. I confirm that the new file size is larger than the previous file size. So, I can roll back to a previous revision if needed.Īs I add new entries, notes, groups, etc. I have the backup file option enabled in KeePassXC using the filename so each backup file is unique, not overwritten.
